Swimming in Lake Michigan

Another beautiful day today and the kids wanted to walk down by Lake Michigan..normally this time of year the lake is yucky and stinky but it has been just beautiful..the water is crystal clear so we put on our swimming suits and carried the beach towels down over the hill.

Our little Otis has always had a "fear" of water but after much coaching (and a little tugging on his leash :)..he ventured into the water..he was happy as long as he could touch but as we went out deeper....

he started to panic...Otis can NOT swim...it was so funny he would stand up on his hind legs and doggy paddle with his front legs...everyone on the beach was laughing (except Otis). I guess we will have to put him in swimming lessons!
